Choose Your Attitude

As we approach the holiday season many people will start to get stressed, seeing the negatives about how much they have to do, how little time they have, comparing themselves with what other people have or are doing. Others will see this season as a blessing and approach it with a sense of happy anticipation.

Which one sounds more like you?

It is said that the holidays are one of the most stressful times of year, which when you think about it is kind of ironic, right? This is a time when troubles should be left behind and we think about other people, it is the time for giving and celebration of life itself.

The truth is, we all have the ability to choose our attitude, not only at this time of year but every single day of our lives. We can choose to see the positive aspects or the negative aspects and in return we will receive the results of those thoughts. I am not denying that we all face obstacles, of course we do. The difference is how we see those obstacles. Are they things that will stop us in our tracks and make us feel sorry for ourselves, or will we look at them and ask what strengths we have that will help us to overcome them and make us even stronger?
